Set-up Instructions

Windows

• Click the Windows Start menu button, select 'Settings' and then click on Network Connections
• Double click 'create new connection' in the 'Network Tasks' lists and click 'Next' on the pop-up screen
• Select 'Connect to the Internet' on the next page and click 'next'
• Select the 'Set up my connection manually' option and click 'next'
• Select the 'connect using a dial up modem' option and click 'next'
• If prompted select the device (modem) you wish to use for the connection
• When prompted type in a name for the connection and click 'next'
• Now enter the nocostdialup.co.uk phone number: 0845 123 2080 and click 'next'
• In the appropriate boxes enter the username: nocost and password: dialup and click 'next'
• If you're using the connection as a back-up UNTICK the 'Make this the default connection'option and click 'next'
• If required select the 'add a shortcut to this connection' and click 'finish'. You have now created the connection.

Mac OS X

• From the Apple menu, choose 'System Preferences'.
• From the 'View' menu, choose 'Network'.
• Choose your modem
• Click the 'PPP' tab.
• Enter the nocostdialup.co.uk phone number: 0845 123 2080, username: nocost and password: dialup and select'Save password'.
• Click the TCP/IP tab.
• Choose 'PPP' from the Configure pop-up menu.
• Click Apply Now.
